Over the years, my husband Dave and I often talked about starting up a small business to both sell his photographs and also to help people trace their family ancestry. Photography has been Dave's passion for many years and I love to dig through old family records to find out where we came from, so we decided that as we weren't getting any younger and that it was now or never, why not become Seniorpreneurs!!
One night, while sitting in front of a lovely fire watching some music videos, we came across a great Scottish tribal drum and pipe band called Clanadonia. They were playing a tune called Hamsterheid... we looked at each other, grinned and almost simultaneously said "That's it - that's what we'll call the company!" and that is how Hamsterheid Productions was born in the early months of 2019 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Oh, and the name is pronounced Hamsterheed!
As the artistic one in the family, Dave set upon creating our quirky logo, we got a licence for the company and voila! on August 1, 2019, we were ready to set up our business.
In September 2024, when I ventured into making soap and bath salts, little did I know it would blossom into something truly special. Taking a few workshops opened my eyes to the joy and potential behind Miss Molly's Bathtub Bliss. With a successful open house, it became clear that this could be more than a passion project—it could be a thriving business. Thus, Miss Molly's Bathtub Bliss came to life, and now, you can find us online and at Artisan Markets around Victoria, BC, offering beautiful soaps, luxurious bath soaks, lotions, balms and more.

The real boss in the family! Hamish joined the family on February 29, 2020 as a companion for our precious Miss Molly who sadly crossed the rainbow bridge on November 27, 2022. Hamish is an energetic wee lad who keeps us laughing and on our toes. He loves to go to daycare, snuggle and bark!
Ghillie is the Skeletons in the Closet Genealogy Assistant! You might be wondering where the name Ghillie came from. Well, the word ‘Ghillie’ is Gaelic for man-servant, and this is essentially what his role entails. The Ghillie is your personal assistant while you are fishing! So, while I ‘fish’ for your relatives, Ghillie will be right by my side helping me 😊. He can usually be found hanging around my whiteboard waiting to take notes!
